Stone Maintenance Natural Stone

Floors
Should be swept or vacuumed using soft brush attachments
Heavily used Chairs should have felt on bottom of legs.
Never use vinegar or acid products on any natural stone. We recommend using warm water with a little liquid dish soap like Ivory.
On floors with deep grout joints, try not to let the water pool in these joints. Wipe out as best as you can.
Never use abrasive cleaners or pads on polished stone.

Kitchen Counters

Use the warm water and liquid dish soap to clean.
Do not use glass cleaners or wax sprays

Vanity Tops

Use caution with the cleaning products typically found for cleaning bathrooms. Most if not all are not recommended on natural stone.
Use the warm water and liquid dish soap to clean.
Always use soap bar holders, and be careful contact solutions and cosmetics, hair spray(lacquer).
Be careful of over spray when cleaning mirrors and fixtures.

Showers

Again most bathroom cleaners are not recommended on natural stone.
Use the warm water and liquid dish soap to clean.
Squeegee walls and benches after each use. Leave door open to air dry as best as possible.
Again protect the stone from bar soap, shampoo bottles, etc as best as you can.

*The only exception to these procedures would be with ceramic tile. Follow the instructions on the cleaning container carefully*
